About the Founder
Pelvic health is more than just a clinical speciality, it’s a pathway to reclaiming your quality of life. Our founder, Maria Bordini, is a highly specialised physiotherapist who combines leading clinical expertise with a deeply patient-centred approach to healing.
Her journey began with intensive specialist training in Brazil and Portugal, where she honed her skills in some of the world’s most advanced physiotherapy environments. After moving to the UK, her dedication to women's health led to her current role as the Pelvic Health Lead for the Pelvic Health Service at North Middlesex Hospital NHS Trust in London.
Her academic passions enrich Maria’s clinical leadership. She holds a Master's degree in Global Public Health, which grounds her deep understanding of how critical comprehensive maternal care is to our society. Furthermore, a keen curiosity about anthropology drives her to explore how cultural backgrounds and societal expectations shape how women view their bodies and navigate wellness culture.
Today, Maria brings this unique blend of international training, top-tier NHS leadership, and cultural understanding to Flor Pelvic Health, providing a safe and profoundly supportive space for your recovery.
